Love Begets Love. Here's a song about love and loss
My friend Pam passed away last spring after enduring a long, exhausting battle with cancer. Pam was always asking amazing questions, was deeply engaged with everyone she met, and wholly supportive of people on their journey toward finding themselves and their passions. When she died, this song emerged as a kind of love song to her husband, my dear friend Guy, as a reminder of all of the love that he has that will continue to multiply in his life even after such a great loss. I was honored when Guy asked me if I'd be willing to share it as part of a compilation he's put together in her memory. The collection, Songs for Pam is available on Burst and Bloom Records and features incredible artists like Emily Hope Price, Jason Anderson, Anna Vogelzang, and more. Ultimately, the chorus of this song acts as a reminder to stay inspired by the way Pam lived her life, which was by leading with love even in the face of fear and great atrocity.
I'm so grateful The Wild Honeypie is debuting Love Begets Love on their Buzzing Daily feed today. Listen, read their beautiful write-up, and join me in a love singalong as I perform it for the first time this Saturday at C'Mon Everybody at the first show of my three-month residency there.
